Psychotherapy Groups for Disordered Eating and Body Image Issues
Healing Through Sharing With Others
- Group therapy offers an opportunity for those recovering from Eating Disorders to find support and inspiration in a safe, professionally led experience.
- Sharing, listening, and working through the emotional issues that make one vulnerable to an Eating Disorder are the springboards for change.
- Motivation to try challenging, healthy steps is fostered through group encouragement.
- Belief that change is possible is generated each week by peers who turn hope and desire into behavioral change.
- The therapeutic approach includes traditional group process, psychodynamic exploration of family issues and experiential work related to both emotional healing and body image.
- Each individual participant determines the pace with which they share and utilize the group process.
Please contact the specific group facilitator for further information or to join one of the groups at InSight.
